no end in sight

installation, 2025, 16 Collective.

The installation consisted of a series of copper plates with etched and corroded messages. These serve as notations for an accompanying sound piece, a conversation to prompt the act of pulling apart and putting back together.

The work is thinking about resonance as a material force and metaphorical device to consider formlessness and atmospheres of collective feeling, desire and interference.

To think through resonance is to realise nothing is bound to being bound; To exceed the frame of deterministic structures of representation; To exceed any linear temporal and spatial orders. Resonance means to resound, to sound again, echoing out forever, no end in sight.
